Preschool Screening

The Winchester Public Schools’ Special Education Department conducts ongoing screenings for 3-and 4-year-old children living in Winchester. The screening process is designed to review a child’s development and to assist in identification of those children who should be referred for an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services.

Parents who suspect that their child may have a disability in any area are encouraged to contact Sarah Casey, Preschool Case Manager, at 781 721 7015, to determine if their child should participate in a screening process.

The screening process is offered free of charge under the provisions of the state and federal law and participation in the screening process is optional on the part of the parents.
